We recommend when following the meditations that participants sit in a straight unsupported back position 1) listen carefully repeating the words silently or aloud 2) watch the images of each meditation once, repeat the meditation while only occasionally opening your eyes to see the screen, 3) closing your eyes completely in a “lying position or reclining position” for a deep relaxation possible sleep outcome 3) eyes maintain a 1/2 closed, 1/2 open position rarely focussing on any images in the video and thus create / attain a mental state between deep rest and alertness
