I. Core Philosophy The Sacred Way of Harmonious Balance is a living path rooted in the wisdom of Taoism, Buddhism, and Zen, honoring the natural rhythms of existence and the interplay of Yin and Yang, the 7 Chakras, and the 5 seasonal movements. It is a practice that aligns personal Body, Mind, Soul, and Spirit with the cycles of Nature, establishing peace and well-being for individuals and the world.

Thus, the Sacred Way of Balance is a flexible doctrine, a fluid path, respecting and honoring all spiritual / religious doctrines

II. The Five Seasonal Teachings path follows the Five Seasons—Winter, Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Fall—each reflecting a vital aspect of life’s continuous flow.

These Natural Energetics guide our daily life practices prioritizing vital health, as the most important practice necessary for integrating harmonious personal, social, and global relationships.
1. WINTER (Water – Dream/Purpose Gestation/Regeneration of our Power Source
* Embrace stillness, deep sleep and deep big picture awareness.
* Focus on spiritual study and connection to the echo of the infinite universe.
* Strengthen adapt ability, inner resilience and build reserves for the cycle of renewal.
2. SPRING (Tree – Growth & Renewal)
* Cultivate new beginnings, creativity, and personal transformation.
* Embody spontaneity in the freshness of each moment of renewal and rebirth.
* Engage in the balance of patience with ingenuity and kindness that nurture harmony within with others.
3. SUMMER (Fire – Passion, Inspiration & Joy)

* Focus on heart-centered meditation and gratitude practices.
* Strengthen relationships and community bonds through compassionate action.


4. AUTUMN (Earth – Stability & Nourishment)
* Cultivate balance in thoughts, emotions, and nourishment.
* Engage in mindful eating and holistic healing practices.
* Offer support to those in need, fostering collective well-being.
5. FALL (Metal – Manifestation, Completion & Letting Go)
* Practice order, organization, gratitude for self-accomplishment balanced with appreciation of impermanence.
* Engage in Breath work and introspection to refine individuation of the soul.
* Release negativity, making space for peace and wisdom in restarting the cycle again.

III. Practices of the iSOHA Sacred Way of Balance align with the forces of Nature to cultivate  each person’s unique balanced world.  Participants devote daily practice to personalized practices in the following:
1. Meditation & Contemplation – Daily practice to center the mind and harmonize with the Tao.
2. Balance, Movement & Flow – Engaging in Tai Chi, Qi Gong, yoga and various other exercise models, Zen-Touch™ Body Work & Nutri-Journey (E-motional Nourishment Healing method) created by Founder Seymour Koblin,Thai massage class in session.

IV. The Fourfold Path to Wholeness
1. Physical Health – Honoring the body through living a natural nourishing vitally balanced lifestyle
2. Mental Clarity – Cultivating wisdom, and a harmonious balance of intellect and intuition, and the ability to distinguish interference(distorted partial truth) from intuition(genuine truth) clarity of thought.
3. Emotional Harmony – Practicing love, compassion, and a useful balanced emotional expression where we use feelings for healing instead of letting them use us. We “trance end” Drama and create Dharma(Purpose Sacred Destiny)
4. Spiritual Awakening – Deepening Intuitive Connection with the Tao, the Cosmos, and the Infinite self.

V. The Vision for a Peaceful World By living in accordance with these teachings, we foster a world where peace, health, and love flourish . As individuals heal, communities thrive, and the Earth restores its sacred balance while inspiring an environment where individuality radiates within one peaceful world .

To become an ordained minister in the Sacred Way of Harmonious Balance, one must undergo a process of spiritual cultivation, study, and service. The ordination process aligns with the principles of Yin and Yang, the Five Seasons, and holistic well-being, ensuring that each minister embodies the wisdom of Taoism, Buddhism, and Zen.
Step 1: The Call to the Path (Initiation & Intention Setting)
• Reflect deeply on the calling to serve as a minister of balance, peace, and natural harmony.
• Submit an Intention Statement: a written reflection on why you seek ordination and how you will serve others.
• Begin a 40-day period of contemplation, practicing daily meditation, breathwork, and mindful silence.

Step 2: Study & Internalization of Teachings
• Engage in a curriculum of wisdom texts, including:
• The Tao Te Ching (Taoist philosophy)
• The Dhammapada (Buddhist ethics)
• Zen koans and teachings on mindfulness
• The Five Seasons & Elements as spiritual and healing forces
• Maintain a spiritual journal for personal insights and reflections.
• Practice seasonal living, aligning with nature’s cycles in daily life.

Step 3: Embodiment of the Four Aspects (Body, Mind, Soul, Spirit)
• Body – Engage in daily movement practices (Tai Chi, Qigong, Yoga).
• Mind – Develop clarity and detachment through Zen meditation.
• Soul – Commit to acts of compassion and selfless service.
• Spirit – Deepen connection through ritual, silence, and nature immersion.

Step 4: Service & Teaching (Apprenticeship Phase)
• Spend six months in active spiritual service, including:
• Teaching meditation, movement, or seasonal wisdom to a community.
• Providing spiritual guidance to individuals in need.
• Engaging in ecological or humanitarian projects.
• Undergo mentorship from an ordained minister to refine wisdom and practice.

Step 5: The Final Integration (Rite of Ordination)
• A silent retreat (2-7 days) to enter deep contemplation before ordination.
• A sacred ordination ceremony conducted in nature, aligning with the seasons:

• Winter: Connection to the unseen and the eternal Tao/Dao.
• Spring: Initiation of growth and new beginnings.
• Summer: Commitment to inspirational passionate service.
•Autumn: Integration of rapport and nourishment of others.
• Fall Shedding of ego, clarity of personalized service.

International School of Healing Arts is a DBA of INTERNATIONAL SOUL OF HEALING ARTS, a 501C3 non-profit non-secular interfaith religious spiritually based organization. iSOHA prioritizes spiritual growth, religious knowledge, and moral character without including secular programs. Our approach to spiritual non-secular education is similar to #Taoism or “Zen”and what we at iSOHA verbally refer to as “Zenergize”
We are a personal growth organization created for individuals to benefit from many different Holistic Health and Interfaith practices. Online and in-person self-development education is offered in an Apprenticeship/Mentorship style based on the versatile work of Seymour Koblin. OUR Educational Titles and Documents of Completion are NOT secular Occupational/Vocational training Diplomas, Degrees or Certifications. Students who successfully complete iSOHA courses are eligible for Certification through NCBTMB (National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (for CEU’s) and ATCQG (American Tai Chi Qi Gong). If participants wish to attain training for specific secular trades or careers, or a state or city  credential they must attend a CA BPPE vocation-approved school. or other authorized facility.
