Am I Really Open to the Truth?

Do I seek truth—or only confirmation of what I already believe?
When presented with contrasting facts or opinions, am I willing to explore them objectively, or do I dismiss them as wrong, lies, fiction, or conspiracy?
Does my desire to be right cause me to overlook what others present? Have I distanced myself from people because I believe they are wrong and I am right?

Be honest with yourself.

Find a quiet place where you can center yourself. Breathe slowly until you feel open, grounded, relaxed, and alert.

Repeat:

I choose to be open to objective truth.
I open myself to the possibility that I may be mistaken and willingly explore different opinions of so-called facts and feelings.
I send peace to all people, regardless of our contrasting facts, opinions, and feelings.
I trust that truth and justice will always prevail. I am grateful for contrasting facts and opinions because our differences can eventually bring us closer together.
I devote myself to transcending separation and creating greater unity, peace, and resolution for all beings in our one peaceful world.
